Hollow augers for foundering of explosive charges are intended for transportation (removal) of a broken ground from a downhole during drilling and following foundering of an explosive charge through an internal cavity of an auger at seismic exploration. Use of hollow augers allows to place explosive charge on into the well with guarantee that is especially important during the work in unstable and water- flooded soils.
Auger drilling bits with an opening end are used as rock cutting tools. Connection of augers and drilling bits in a drill string is carried out by means of threaded joint.
